Original Message From: gregory.bogan@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gregory.bogan@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2005 3:29 PM Our department is looking for an AS400 operations person with some programming (RPG) experience. The main objective is to have somebody who can fully support the 400 including user IDs, backup and recovery, program and OS upgrades, and troubleshoot/optimization of the system. Beyond that we would like somebody that can do some programming, mostly existing program modifications. This person would be one of the 7 IT staff members at this site and would be the person solely responsible for the AS400. There is one other person that will assist on the AS400 as a backup when needed, but we really need somebody that will "take ownership" of the system while still adhering to the Abbott corporate standards. The rest of our group consists of three PC/server/network administrators, one programmer for small applications, one business systems analyst, and finally our department manager. I am a Windows PC/Server person myself, so I can barely even spell AS/400 (I never know which slash: / \ to use!). We are a close group and we are given a great deal of independence on our daily jobs. However, we do have to follow corporate policies and, similar to the banking industry, we are governed by auditing agencies to ensure that the IT environment meets governmental guidelines including FDA regulations for the pharmaceutical industry. If you want to know any other specific details just drop me a note and I will answer to the best of my ability. Thanks Greg Bogan
