General Summary: Provide advanced level of analytical and technical design and programming skills necessary to define, develop and implement new application systems or enhancements to existing JDE World/One World software system. Readily share knowledge and expertise with other staff members. In this position you will perform system-maintenance, administration, end user set-up, security, and upgrades. This support will include problem resolution, new enhancement/process changes, training and upgrade implementations. Software support includes these JDE applications: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Order entry, Purchasing & Receiving, costing and the *Dream Writer* Report Writer. Basic cross training with all other key staff in the IT will enable this team member to effectively support the JDE user community and provide operational support. Also desirable is strong EXTOL experience in EDI mapping/review/writing of specifications. Exposure to Cognos, Oracle, SQL Server a plus.
Accountabilities:
S: Participates in the definition, design, development and implementation of large or technically complex application systems or enhancements.
S: Ability to use good judgement so not to *over analyze* and to develop appropriate business solutions
S: Develops and documents functional specifications which define the objectives, business and information flows and requirements of new applications or enhancements to existing systems.
S: Translates functional requirements into detailed specifications including the definition of program modules, data base structures, record layouts and recovery considerations.
S: Code, compile, test, debug and document application programs/systems.
S: Develop and execute testing, implementation and training plans, procedures and schedules.
S: Organize workload to ensure all tasks and assignments are completed accurately and on time.
S: Provides off-hour support as required.
S: Project a positive attitude, handle issues in a professional manner
S: Excellent inter-personal skills and a team player, Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
S: Occasional travel may be required
S: A willingness to learn state of the art software (Manugistics, Red Prairie, Oracle, SQL Server, Cognos, etc.)
Competencies:
AS/400, RPG, CL, work management, SQL, ILE and appropriate tools such as SDA, PDM, DBU, Hawkeye

Microsoft Office Professional (including Access)
Education/Experience: Bachelor*s degree or equivalent, preferably including courses in computer science, business administration, mathematics, statistics or accounting) 4+ years applications design and programming experience
