The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I've modified custom source to remove the calls to a program that is not
required anymore (setting old keyboard mappings), tested the applications and
thankfully everything still worked and the program didn't make it to the call
stack. Good news right...well sort of.
So with the source modified and everything still working for a period of time I
decided to remove the old program object from our system. Bad news. I try the
application now and I receive MCH3401 - Cannot resolve to the program object.
This doesn't make any sense to me. I cannot find any reference to this object
in the programs that are being executed during the application start up.
Granted some of these I do not have source for as they are base objects from a
JDE implementation but these haven't been changed since they were installed on
the system many years ago and wouldn't be referencing our internal custom code
anyway.
I'm pulling my hair trying to figure this out but getting nowhere and its
really bugging me. I may try a full reclaim storage but this is quite a large
system and I want to avoid prolonged downtime if possible.
Any suggestions or help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Shane
