Can i use QLIMROIR to determine if a dataarea is being used by a program

I came across this example in the archives of using the QLIMROIR to
change the program attribute. Could this MI program be used to
determine if a specific data area is being used by a program. Could
someone provide an example of how you would do this if it is possible
?

We have a requirement that we want to determine if a program is using
a data area and want to do it at run time
