Why the heck is RSLVDP not part of the C library? I no longer code MI but use C's MI function and built-in instead.
Okay, so call the builtin... what's the problem? #pragma linkage ( _RSLVDP1, builtin ) void _RSLVDP1( void **ptr ); #pragma linkage ( _RSLVDP2, builtin ) void _RSLVDP2( void **ptr, char *varname ); #pragma linkage ( _RSLVDP3, builtin ) void _RSLVDP3( void **ptr, char *varname, _SYSPTR *activtion);
I don't see RSLVDP anywhere including being exported from the various *SRVPGM's where the rest of the MI set is exported.
That's because it's a builtin. The stuff you see exported from service programs are wrappers to MI functions designed to make them easier to use from C. Only a tiny fraction of the MI functions are available this way.
