Hi all,

I've been in this list for a while, and this is my first post so I shall
briefly introduce myself. I'm new to MI but not to AS/400. Mostly
self-learning. I work for a vendor (banking) company, and I mostly do system
programming and tools. I'm reading Leif's MI book.

Question: I'm looking for a way to retrieve the status of an active job
(MSGW, HELD, RUN, etc.). While this can be done with QGYOLJOB or QUSRJOBI, I
am enjoying my MI lesson. Not sure whether I got this right, but I think
it's somewhere in the PCS. I could be wrong, but I've been comparing dumps
(DMPJOBINT, PRTINTDTA, and somewhere under RESIDENT PCB). I'd see the same
thing under SST when I choose to work with process.

Problem now is that, after retrieving the WCB entry I can't find the pointer
to the said location. I can get the job PCO (Leif's e-book chapter 9), but
it's not exactly what I want. Like I said, I could be wrong. I'm hoping
someone could please lead me in the right direction. Thanking in advance.

Regards,
Syaz
