Sometimes we try things to see if we can do them. But then again, C is
suppose to be about as fast or faster than MI now. C should be able to port
a lot easier. I was just looking for a challenge that I could use when I am
finished. I was more curious why the government was after the inventor.

I have played with some of the other encryptions, so I thought I would try
it. I had been using it under PASE. Here, we have more time, than money to
try things.

Harry,

A port to MI sounds difficult.

If your primary interest is using PGP on iSeries (and not the intellectual
challenge of writing in MI), there is a commercial PGP encryption product
by Patrick Townsend and Associates that Don mentioned. See
http://www.patownsend.com/PGPencryption.htm for more information.

There are also freeware versions of PGP available. The AIX binary
available at
http://www.pgpi.org/products/pgp/versions/freeware/unix/6.5.8/ can be
copied to your IFS and invoked using QSH.
