Does that mean I could change the object type of a user space to *pgm?

I think there are several problems with that:
1. Programs are pretty complex objects, including multiple segment groups. You'd have to generate at least some of that stuff.
2. The type/subtype of any object is contained in its entry in the library object. You'd have to change that if you wanted your program to be in a library.
3. There's a bit (new in V5R3, I think) in the page tables I mentioned previously, named Nex, meaning "No execute." It's unset for the code portion of programs, but set for user spaces.
