If it's about RPG2/3 and DDS, i remember a friend of mine who wrote some analyzing software which automatically detecds hard coded literals and throws them out into message files, which can be edited by any person for any language. If i remember right, there is also a possibility for Cobol. If anyone is interested, please mail me.
