Thanks to Dave and Njal for their comments, and everyone else that posted, 
about adding a true single step capability to my MI "ISDB".  

I guess I'm not comfortable (yet) with patching programs.  I might do it for 
use on my own box only, but since this tool may get some outside usage or at 
least review, I don't want to do any "tricks".  Also I don't have the System/38 
MI manual; is it still available?

Anyway, what I've got should be quite functional.
