Hi all, I'm new to this, I'm thinking of using CRTINX 0E 0A to get around the short ( char10 ) naming convention and so far I've not found any REAL disadvantages. I can get around the *CMD, API & Utility dumps by isolating the permanent objects in a non *LIBL "context". Am I missing something important ??? ( that is besides years of MI experiance ( smile ) ) Is there a better way ??? Thanks for the input. Bye, Scott
