I am curious to know how optimized code can guarantee the integrity of the program state when a breakpoint occurs. I am assuming that optimized code will execute the program stmts in parallel or even out of sequence. If that is the case, when the program is in debug and a breakpoint is hit, how will the variables be guaranteed to hold the values as per the original non optimized source code and not as per the actual optimized code ? thanks, Steve Richter
