Hi Jon, A few random responses ... Enabling a raw jump to the interface of an external object will not ( should not ) require "re-architecting" of anything. It simply adds on to what the SLS architecture provides. Maybe the iSeries could increases sales and profits by selling experimental, derivative or streamlined versions of the system. The technical people who make the decisions at Microsoft are not afraid to churn the design of the software they sell. And they have shown that their way of operating is very profitable.
