SETSP pointer, data makes a pointer to the data CPYBWP data1, data2 copies data2 to data1 in such a way that any pointers already with data2 are preserved as pointer in data1. CPYBLA data1, data2 would copy the bytes only, but would not copy the "tagbits" that mark some data as a pointer. I have a feeling that the question is ill posed and that you really want something else. Could you show the piece of code you have and explain what you are trying to do? ----- Original Message ----- From: <Bobby.Hicks@ccc-michigan.com> To: <mi400@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, June 24, 2002 8:51 AM Subject: [MI400] Neebie Question > What's the difference in using the SETSP instruction and the CPYBWP > instruction?
