This was originally posted to Midrange-L. Responses there suggested to
search the MI400 archives, but that turned up zero. Leif has suggested that
"Gene Gaunt or Dave McK told us where" the SEU work spaces are. Can Gene,
Dave, or anyone else provide some insight here?

Is there a way to determine those source members that are in a "recovery
mode"? I am speaking of the situation when you lose your display session
while editing source via SEU. When you start up a new session, and STRSEU
on the source member, SEU brings up a "Recover SEU Member" screen giving you
the choice to recover everything from the last interrupted session.

The reason I ask is that today I went to modify a source member that,
supposedly, no one has touched in years, and I got the "Recover SEU Member"
screen. I pressed F12=Cancel and used option 5 to display the member, and
it appears that there were no changes to source statements in the member
after the "source last updated" date, but that would make sense if the
changes were never applied to it. We made a copy of the source member
before we took the option to recover the SEU session. There are, in fact,
some changes but we have been unable to determine what the changes were
intended to do. The latest statement change datestamp we found was from
1999!

We would be interested in determining if there are any other source member
surprises out there. We tried DSPFD using *MBR and *MBRLIST, but there does
not appear to be any kind of flag that indicates whether a source member is
waiting to be "recovered".

Doesn't SEU use user spaces? And discard them once an SEU session has ended
normally? Any idea what they're called and/or where they're stored?
