Lief, I agree with David that I was probably being a bit harsh in my assessment of the email. I apologize. And I also firmly believe knowing that something can be done is half the battle. But dis-assembling his product will probably violate the license agreement and open the potential for litigation. Perhaps if you ask him nicely in private, and you aren't producing a competing product , he might just tell you. I know I would. At least for most things. I wouldn't give anybody our copy protection code...but I would give you a general overview of how we do it.
