I am doing a bit of debugging lately. Using the AddTrc command with the TrcPgm
parm set to a trace handler I wrote.

I notice that when I AddTrc (*All instructions) and the pgm being traced runs
very, very slow in a 2nd signon session where debug is not active. After a bit
of time is spent examining the code to see why the pgm is running so slow, I
remember what Leif said months ago re: AddBkp patching the pgm object with
break stmts.

So when you AddTrc *AllInst, every MI instruction in the pgm object is patched
with a breakpoint type RISC instruction? And those breakpoint instructions are
executed by every job on the system that runs the pgm being traced?

Thanks,

Steve Richter
