This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I am working with MATINAT as a way to enhance pgm tracing. MATINAT returns an offset to the "Instruction form specified as input to Create Program". This instruction form starts with a 2 byte opcode and is followed by the "extender field and operand fields" ( same as seen in an MI compile listing ). What are the rules for the opcode encoding? The opcode for branch is X'1011', but also appears as X'3011'. CALLI is X'0293' but sometimes appears as X'2293'. Thanks for the help, Steve Richter --
