Please forgive the funky formatting;
I'm at work, and back on my ISP's
slightly-cranky web-mail
interface.

Same here, up until yesterday. For months, my boss couldn't make
much headway
(though to be fair, it wasn't exactly a high-priority issue for
him, and he
didn't have the time to sit on hold for twenty minutes at a
time); then,
yesterday, I took it into my own hands (the days of bypass
having dwindled down
to six), and contacted IBM myself, stressing the fact
that we were down to six
days, and that the machine, though technologically
obsolete, was still an
essential development box, and had a new system
password waiting in my email
within hours.

The last time, if I recall,
the people who finally took pity on us initially
wanted "option" codes that
apparently applied only to later models.

This morning, I got an email from
our system password technician, who advised
me that there was a PTF I'd
never heard of, "MF07515," that might solve the

problem.
