alternative to _XLATEB on Windows -- MI400

I've ported some code from ILE RPG to VisualAgeRPG.  The ILE RPG uses the '
_XLATEB' builtin MI function, which uses a 256-byte translation table.
Does anyone know an equivalent Windows API that can replace the '_XLATEB'
function (other than the XLATE instruction) ?
