RE: How does this software work??

No, it's not normal to not even know the name of the company that wrote the
software, Leif.  While you might not have known that I wrote large portions
of BPCS, you certainly knew that you bought it from System Software
Associates.  I don't know of a single piece of commercial software where the
authoring company wishes to conceal its identity.  And Tiger Tools
specifically states that they are not the authors.

For instance, what if Fast400 damages my computer?  Who do I sue?  Tiger
Tools?  They're not the developers.  Or what if it infringes on a copyright
and I'm forced to remove it?  Again, is it Tiger Tools I go after to recoup
my money?  That's a pretty cushy place for the developer, who by this time
has taken his royalties and is off to his island in the Carribean <grin>.
