I've been talking to my boss about this off and on and he's
brought up a good point.

Forget the $1000.00.  I don't want to pay $1000.00 for a program
that may only work for a few months.  How about paying $100.00 a
month, while the program works?  IBM comes out with a patch and
"fixes" it, we don't pay until it's working again.

Just a thought.

Of course, I'm still very interested in the Legal point of view.
