  CreateSemaphore( 0, , SemaphoreName ) ; // create as non signaled
  WaitForSingleObject( SemaphoreName, ... )  ;  // wait until object is signaled.
 
Can linux?, ile ?  ( a question, not a challenge )
 
Any knowledge of how locks and semaphores are implemented on different systems?
 
Esp the powerpc instructions used for locking and waiting?

LOCKSL is used to wait until something is not in use.
 
What about the reverse.  How would a pgm wait (efficiently) until something is in use?
