Hi, Gene: Thanks for pointing out my error... Oops... never mind... my mistake. I "assumed" they were user domain. I should have "double-checked" this first... I guess I thought that if I created a data area, since I am a "user", it would be in the "user domain". IMHO, OS/400 is perhaps a little bit "over-protective" in this instance. But, that's just my opinion. ;-) In any case, using the APIs, QXXRTVDA and QXXCHGDA, should "solve" this problem. Regards, Mark S.
