The MCB-HEADER unfortunately does not start at the beginning of the space and I don't know of any MI instruction that can "reach" before a space object pointer. There is a way of doing it. It is WAY too complex to explain in a short posting. Chapter 8 of my eBook is devoted to precisely that problem. Your best bet is (start shameless plug) simply to get my eBook at http://leif.org (AS/400 corner). (end plug). If somebody knows any other way (except what I do in chapter 8), I'll be interested in learning something (and to simplify the chapter !).
