The LQ RISC instruction loads a quadword (16 bytes) and stores the tag-bits in a special register (?), but does anyone here know exactly how it works? A typical use is: LQ 26,xxxx(3),2 load R26 and R27 with the 16 bytes starting at xxxx(R3). But what is the "2" doing. I have seen 2, 11, and 15. +--- | This is the MI Programmers Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MI400@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MI400-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MI400-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: dr2@cssas400.com +---
