Hello Don, The SEPT just contains pointers (and authorisations -- yeah, I know, but I'm not going into that one again) to programs. You can see what the SEPT contains by dumping it. A job's QTEMP is found from its WCB either in the job itself or the WCBT. You can use any job to get addressability to your WCB (based off the PCO) and from there find the WCBT and then search that for the job you really want. I'm not sure how the higher security levels will affect this. A bit messy but not too hard -- although harder than it used to be since the WCBT is no longer a single object. I have some old code that did this but I haven't updated it for the WCBT changes. Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > Date: Tue, 07 Dec 1999 22:27:36 -0500 > From: "Don" <dr2@cssas400.com> > To: mi400@midrange.com > Reply-To: MI400@midrange.com > Subject: System Entry Point Table...SEPT. > > Anyone have a running doc on the SEPT, Pointers to jobs and job objects? > The theory is that I should be able to view ANY QTEMP library and > underlying objects.
