One thing I've noticed missing from the MI examples posted here - program deactivation. For some utilities that are called repetitively, and this may be one, leaving the program active on exit may help performance. However, lets not forget our old friend DEACTPG. For RPG'ers it's what happens when you do a return with LR on.
