Thank you Rad.
I already have some add on SQL code that we can use for indented but was wondering if there might be something available within Mapics that we were overlooking.  It's always good to check with others.  I was also hoping possibly with the newer version of Powerlink and ION that someone else came up with a solution.
The follow up is greatly appreciated.

Back in the days before I retired, I developed a recursive SQL procedure over EPDM, that returned a bill of material where used quantity per extended by the consolidated planned order quantities across all of our production facilities, for any component that was sent to the procedure.  The request came from any supplier using our supplier portal and allowed the supplier to see time-phased end-item demand across all of our production and service needs.  The best parts of the process  is that it outperformed any RPG code significantly and allowed me to convince skeptical portal developers that the Infor XA database was efficiently accessible using SQL.

Recursive SQL is very efficient chasing any treed structure, as long as you can tell recursion when to stop.

I often thought that Infor should change their venerable RPG chase procedures to Recursive SQL for the speed, efficiency on the database,  and the elimination of thousands of lines of equally venerable RPG code, in favor of approximately 160 lines of SQL code.

I would be happy to converse with you or share snippets of the code if you contact me directly at:

Subject: [MAPICS-L] PCC mfg order inquiry and shop packet print indented like product structure

Hello:
We are assisting with a Mapics upgrade to a current version and have been posed a question on how to view the PCC mfg order inquiry with parts indented and also the shop packet print with parts indented (like PDM product structure inquiry  1  and .2 and .3 and .4......).
We worked with Inforxtreme and this isn't something that is available as a standard option and bu what I understand not something provided through Powerlink.
Has anyone else had the requirement to have the mfg order inquiry and shop packet print in an indented format?  if you have done so or have ideas on how to address can you share the solution.

ThanksRegards,Laura
