Rachele,
I retired 3+ years ago, but I can share my experiences comparing Power Link
to Net Link at that time.
Net Link performance is very much a browser-based application that performs
as you would expect, both inside your network and over the internet.
With performance tuning, Power Link can perform faster than Net Link inside
your network. Net Link tends to be faster over the internet, simply because
the data streams are much smaller in Net Link.

With that said, three years ago Net Link lacked some advanced functions of
Power Link, particularly around customizations on the fly and work benches.
I am quite sure that some of these differences have been addressed in the
intervening 3 years, because Net Link is the interface to ION/Ming.le/etc.

Have a great day!

Subject: [MAPICS-L] NetLink

Good day,
We are looking at shifting from Powerlink to Net-link for the bulk of our
internal network users. We can see the benefit of not having to install a
client however are concerned about performance impact. Can I get some
feedback from others who are using Net-link internally for their users
instead of Powerlink.
We are also researching external access for Net-Link (outside of our
network) and I was hoping to get some comments or feedback from others who
are doing this or have looked into it.
