Leslie gave you a great answer and I will add one bonus for the General Ledger Inquiry screen so you may consider not creating a custom view.
In IFM standalone, the General Ledger Inquiry screen YANRDFR has function key F11-Alternate View. Pressing it twice shows the Translated value column. This is just the period values, not adding them up for YTD, but for most user general inquiries we find it is sufficient.

Thank you very much.
We were headed this direction but also received a response from Leslie at Infor By default, IFM maintains the value of each GL account in the financial division currency. You can use the "Translate ledger balances" feature to calculate the value of each GL account in another currency too. This feature is available in green-screen in menu AM5M49 option 7. It is also available in IDF level 1 in Finance > General Ledger > Other GL Tasks > General Ledgers > Translate GL Account Balances (FAS52). After running the translation process you can see the account balances in both the financial division currency and the translation currency in Power-Link, Finance > General Ledger > General Ledger Inquiry. In the General Ledger Inquiry object you will have to create a custom view that includes a column for the "Translated value (translated currency)" attribute. You can create ad-hoc analysis reports in Power-Link using that data. You can also create a more formal trial balance report based on the translated values using the IFM Extract and Analysis feature (menu AM5M50).
The above describes what's available in IFM standalone. Other options for calculation, display and reporting are available when IFM is integrated with Enterprise GL application and/or the Infor reporting/BI applications.
We will give this a try also.
It is appreciated that you responded. We're going to look at and consider both options.

Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] IFM
To get a trial balance of all the account balances (unit/nature combinations in IFM), I suggest using either of 2 files for the values. If you are using the IFM programs to translate the balances to a reporting currency, the Translated Value and the Financial Division Value are both in the general ledger summary file YABPREP. These values could be used to create a trial balance in the financial division currency (period balances summarized by using the YTD periods on a Period Structure for the year). That would be the simpler method.
We use a second method and create a trial balance using the general ledger lines file YAA7REP, because we want the ability to drill down to the detail transactions for analysis purposes. The G/L lines file also has Transaction Value and transaction currency ID in case some of your AR or AP transactions were created in a difference currency and the original amount needs to be viewed. Using this file will require the ability to bring in the value for the Cumulative Translation Adjustment from the G/L summary file YABPREP for the default unit/nature combination, because this value will not be on any transaction lines. The default CTA unit/nature combination can be found in file YAC3REP, the financial division file.
Please let me know if you want more details for a solution.

We would like to generate the trial balance in another currency.
XA Powerlink is used within the environment. Most of the accounting transactions are in either USD and CAD, we revalue between each by the exchange rate entered into IFM.
Does any one have a solution they use or suggestions on how to accomplish creating a trial balance in both currencies?
