Can't you have clickable hotspots for F-Keys in CA/400 ?
Then you could have the user click the function key area.
Think of a touch screen as providing mouse click input so whatever it takes for a click to trigger something is what you need to do.
Could also create some macros or VbScripting to trigger the enter key as well perhaps.

subject: [MAPICS-L] Programming Question re touch screens.
Can anyone help?
I have a green screen app that displays, in graphical form, the daily load capacity of a work center.
Currently, if I place the cursor in the bar graph area on the screen and press enter, I get a detail report of the jobs, displayed immediately on the screen, (Spool File report) The program knows the cursor position; Each bar is a different day and gives me the appropriate data for that day.

I have touch screen on the shop floor.
I would like this same function but just touch the bar graph on the screen, currently I touch but have to press enter.
How can I program the touch screen display to react to the touch?
I do not want to use a mouse or keyboard.
Thanks ahead of time.
DSPATR(SP) for light pen did not work or I was missing something else.
