Jim,
You do remember that you can use MES for purchased items as well to set up your control plans for inspection upon receipt. Unless I am missing something I would think this would suffice, just a thought. The testing data is captured in MES data base tables. Maybe review the Help Content in MES for Quality plans.

I'm ok either on the Iseries or Windows just as long as I can interface to and from the windows application. I've found lots of receiving software, but I'm specifically looking to implement a random process for when to inspect incoming parts. Track when I inspect and keep history of all parts inspections. I am using XA R9.0 so I do not want to get another ERP system. What we need is just the receiving inspection program that has random inspection of incoming vendor parts.
