Oh My! That's exactly what we need! How much is that?:) Are we the
only ones that request that?

On release 6, I did quite a significant amount in this area.

Modified the UMBPCK5R to release all the lines on an order. It was also
front ended by an automated process to check the order lines had been
allocated. It also checked the order was at a status that was able to be
released (i.e. it was not on hold etc), it checked the release dates
were within a user specified range. It provided a report after
identifying any lines that were unable to be released.

Thank you Steve and All,
The user Exit that I just activated (UMBPCK5R) is intended to run only
one line item per Picklist. As a requirement, one of the parameters
has to be the Order's Line number and release#. That's what's used to
print a PL just for that line #.
I would have to modify that program to make all the line print for the
order#, but before I do that - I was wondering what other people are
using to automatically release orders? I don't believe that MAPICS
would not do anything about adding this as a standard option. May be not
at our release...

Sincerely,
Jane Ioffe

Hi Jane:

I am no longer at release 5.5 but when I was I did use the user exit you
are using. I seem to recall that I had an issue similar to yours and the
solution was to look at the printer override in Mapics for the user exit
PL printing. I had to setup the Mapics PL printer override properly
before I could get the PL to print properly.

I assume when you manually generate a PL that you get all line items on
the PL. Are you running the user-exit as the same user profile as you
do when printing one manually?

Hello List,

Does anybody know about automatic order releasing and printing Picklist
in a scheduled batch mode process? We are at Release 5.5 now. And I
know, that it's hard to find anybody running this release anymore, but I
found one User exit program through Infor site (Solution SH57102) -
UMBPCK5R - API to print pick list by Order/line / release. I
activated that and that Program works great now, with one exception -
it prints only one line item per Picklist! Is there any other User Exits
that anybody knows might help us with that process to automate the
releasing?

Any suggestions would be very appreciated (other than upgrading the
software;))).

Thank you
