Teresa:
The shop packet worksheet has been modified heavily at our company and
was also modified at a company I worked at previously. As Richard
mentioned, you'd need to be licensed for access to source code. (I've
heard rumors that customers won't be able to get source starting in rel.
10 but maybe someone else can confirm that, if it's been decided on by
Infor.) There are 2 programs that print worksheets, AMI4H (multiple) and
AMI4I (individual) along with their printer files. Using CAS security,
we turned off the individual option so that AMI4I doesn't need to be
modified.
Modifying it isn't difficult but you'll probably need to spend some time
figuring out the logic flow first. Whoever wrote it sure liked to use
subroutines. Since almost all the indicators are used in AMI4H, you may
need to carefully doubly-define indicators if you want to do any
conditioning of the output in printer file AMI4HRP. I'd consider
converting AMI4H to ILE if you're used to writing code in ILE. What I
did at my previous employer was to comment out AMI4HRP from AMI4H and
start from scratch with a different printer (and setting up the new
corresponding printer overrides in CAS).
Like you, we're on release 7.7 and have release 9 in a test environment.
We didn't have any problem bringing the rel. 7 AMI4H into rel. 9.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Shop Packet Worksheet
Has anyone customized the way the shop packet prints? We are wanting a
more concise listing of components and clearer view of the routing on
the shop packet. The routing list and Single Level BOM with Blow Thru
report is almost exactly the way we would like it to print out-has
anyone done anything similar to this? Are there any negative impacts to
changing the MO printout?
We are Release 7.7 and have 9 in test.
Thanks for any help!
