Ricky,
The file you're talking about is the detailed transaction file for the
Powerlink applications. All entries that are placed in that file are
processed by what's known as the "Transaction Broker"
I don't have much reference material with me at the moment, so I'll take a
stab and perhaps others can chime in to flesh out the details.
If you look at the table, you'll see an entry for your CHGITMREV (I think
that's the name) transaction. If the Site-Item-revision record that you're
updating has a matching record in the Item Release table (ITMREL), then
there will also be a CHGITM transaction (again guessing at the transaction
name, but I'm close). The CHGITM transaction is what should reflect the
field changes that you did on the item revision. The broker should
automatically process both transactions. If your Item Revision hasn't been
"Released to PDM" then this second record won't be created and the update to
item master won't happen.
On some RARE occasions, the broker will not process something. It's REALLY
rare and hasn't happened to me in ages. But if it DOES happen, it's
possible to run the broker for a specific transaction (using Transaction
token as a key). There are instructions for how to do this manually, but
it must be done VERY carefully and I would suggest under the counsel of
someone experienced in such things or the direction of the support line.
I'm sorry I couldn't give more details, but I'm not on a system this
weekend, so I can't look up more specifics. Hope this helps.
