I was working on a PM10 implementation for our reporting and budgeting.
However came across several roadblocks with implementing PM10 with XA.
Since then, switch to F9 and expect to have F9 up and running by the end
of the month.

It depends on which release of XA you are at and which version of
financials (AM or FM (aka IFM)

Current supported releases are R7.8 and R9.

There are two different supported products for XA at these releases:

F9 - An excel based report writer
PM (Performance Management) - which is a web based reporting tool and
much more (dashboards, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, etc.)

There are 3 different package versions of PM:

PM - Full version with several different application components that you
can select from during ordering.
PM BE (Business Edition) which provides dozens of predefined reports and
has some limits to the "core" application components
PM FR (Financial Reporting) which further limits the number of
application components

Which version you would choose will depend on your particular
requirements. Each product has thousands of installs. You should
contact your INFOR channel partner for references.

If you purchased the 2010 or 2011 flex upgrade package, you should
already have a limited number of licenses (concurrent users) for either
product depending upon which one your organization chose when ordering.
If your not sure, again, check with your channel partner.

Note that both products are tightly integrated with INFOR's "ION" SOA
architecture. There are a number of 3rd party applications that "work"
with XA (again depending on release and also which financial set your
organization has: AM or FM[aka IFM]). However, XA architecture is
changing rapidly and the pace of change is accelerating with INFOR's
product investments; and many 3rd party report writers will not work in
the near future. For example, you can now put XA in the "cloud" which
dramatically lowers costs and improves performance for your users.
These 3rd party applications are not designed to support such a
deployment (whether fully deployed in the cloud or in a hybrid cloud
deployment)and will have to be completely rewritten. In addition, the
current "Road Map" for XA lays out major changes in the financial area
in the near term, you should review these changes with your channel
partner before making a choice.

If you are at a previous release to R7.8, please be aware that change
support is discontinued. Infor's supports current release (R9) and one
previous release (R7.8). R7.8 was released in 2007 and R9 in 2009.

I hope that this provides you with enough information to know where and
what to look at in making your decision.

Still looking for information, references, as well as other options
available for XA users. We currently use FRx, unsupported, of course.
