Can someone tell me where the item description for Open Orders - By
Item/Warehouse on screen AMI1D2 comes from?

ITD20 - Truncated item description. The field is found in ITMRVA and in
ITEMASA.

If you have EPDM, The Truncated Item Description - 20 characters (ITD20)
and the Truncated Item Description - 10 characters (ITD10) fields are
automatically updated with truncated versions of the item description
during ITMRVA file maintenance. If items are added or changed outside of
MAPICS, these fields may not have been populated or updated correctly.

To identify items with blank or incorrect abbreviated description fields,
write a query over ITMRVA to find all items where ITD20 not equal to first
20 characters of ITDSC, or ITD10 not equal to first 10 characters of
ITDSC. To update the abbreviated description fields: Maintain the
description via Item Revision File Maintenance (MAPICS Browser) by
changing the item description and then change it back. This will correct
the ITD10 and ITD20 fields.

Obviously, you can always do a program to fix this...
