First, let's please mind our manners. Group name-calling is only one step
removed from personal name-calling, and neither helps rational discussion.
Besides, name-calling really irritates me, no matter who the target is.
Personal foible - but since I can flip the moderation bit for anyone on this
list, it's probably a foible y'all should be aware of. (I think I'm only
half serious about that - at least I hope I am.)
Second, advice to seek more dedicated assistance than we can provide here
isn't the same thing as saying 'hire me'. It's also only advice, which
people can accept or ignore as they see fit. If someone moves beyond that
by sending unsolicited emails offering goods or services to posters here,
David Gibbs and I want to know about it, but I'm not going to cut someone
off for offering well-meant advice, regardless of whether I or anyone else
here disagrees with it.
I know many of us get fed up with unsolicited sales contacts. It's a
contentious subject. However, I think we can all agree to be civil here,
can't we?
