Subsets , Calculated Fields and Logicals

I have a couple of questions:

1. Why is a logical or calculated attribute excluded from the drop down list of possible attributes for subsets?
2. Is there any work around?


Here is my issue:

I want to subset a view using the "On Hand Available" attribute which is (On-Hand) - (Allocations). This is not the same as Total Available - (Calculated) that takes into account on order.

But it is not available because it is a logical attribute.

Any ideas?
