<IMHO> and as you also mentioned, I believe that MOMAST will not provide
that date for you after you select the orders for closeout; however, the
record changes a field: the order release seq code, as you confirmed. If
you have this file running under a journal, it will be as easy as reading
the before and after images: whenever the value is changed to 8, that
will be your date. You may write that data out to a work or history file
and list the data later.
You can also use a trigger on MOMAST and monitor any changes to this field
and when that happens, you can write the data out to a file.
So you can use journals or triggers.
