I'm resending because I've not received any responses. I'm assuming
someone/anyone is using Material Management and MRP and using MM to review
MRP exception messages?

Anyone?

Kevin

It should be obvious that not all MRP recommendations are the same. Some
are good (underlying data is good) Some are not so good (underlying data is
not so good) and some are just plain wrong (underlying data is incorrect.).

Therefore, it should be obvious that some MRP recommendations are accepted,
and some MRP recommendations are not.

My client is at R7.8 current PTF Level 10572 and client build 31.21

For those messages that are not accepted, in other words I want to ignore
the MRP message, how do you remove the messages from the list view of MRP
recommendations?

I've contacted the support line and received the following information:

1. The help text for R7.8 is incorrect. There may have been a desire
to implement the "bypass" option but it was not implemented in the code.

2. The bypass button on some of the MRP recommendation types (cards)
is not the same as the bypass option in EWP/Green Screen MRP.

a. I'm told that it's to bypass recommendations when an action is
being applied to multiple items. Only problem, you can't select multiple
messages and "right click" maintain an action on multiple items.

b. The maintain mass (action) function does not use the bypass feature.

3. Recommend modifying the Item Warehouse records to show the MRP
Recommendations and scrolling through Item Warehouse records.

a. Try this.?

So, I'd like to know what all of you are doing?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Kevin
