Of course Robert! My bad:

There is a client that is using query/400 and is comparing a BOM change vs
a mfg order (in MODATA) that was released before that BOM component
change. She was looking for the modified data flag (MDTAG) field to see
what part numbers on the work order were modified. She stated that there
was no tag value against the component she was analyzing yet the BOM was
put to zero for that component after the work order was printed on
9/11/09. She expresses that the work order in our TEST environment shows
the component on the BOM yet now in live the quantity for that component
is now at zero.

Finally, she states that there is no indication that a person updated the
BOM specifically for this mfg order using the modified data tag field, so
she was asking if there is a way to do a search against this mfg order to
see other modifications to it or if MAPICS updates any files in between to
keep stuff in synch.

That is why I decided to first check what was this field about...

Peter,

May I ask what you are trying to do that made you look into this field?
