I ran into this almost same situation. We have a plant in Europe and the US. We wanted to run them on the same partition. You can do this on the Operating System level however a word of warning from a lesson that I learned. Mapics does not support different date formats. It will use whatever date format is the operating system default. I assume this is also true for the time as well.

For example
us date format = MM/DD/YY
euro date format = DD/MM/YY

This I think is a major problem. The only way I found around this is to have a separate partition. I talked to programmers at Mapics and they all said it would be a major change to fix this problem. So the operating system can handle it, but Mapics can not (on the same partition). Hope this helps.
