We are a Mapics shop with Varsity as our shipping software. I have to
say it is a great and reliable software. We had them do the initial
install because there is a lot of steps you have to take with getting
certification thru UPS, getting all your trucks in the system, getting
FedEx, and making sure it works properly before going live. The best
part of it all is when it is up and running it runs very smoothly and
hardly have to call tech support. We've been with Varsity for a good 7
years or so and I think we had to call their support twice. If you do
decide to go with Varsity make sure you ask for Kevin Blackmon as your
field engineer because he is incredible setting it all up.

I hope this helps but if you have any other questions you can contact me
at 847-590-7100 xt .225.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Shipping systems

We are currently looking at a shipping system to integrate into MAPICS.
There does not appear to be many out there that are iSeries based.

I am wondering if anybody has used Varsity Logistics and what
experiences you have had with the system and if what experiences you
have had with their support.

If you are not using Varsity what shipping systems are you using tied
into MAPICS.

Thank you
