Sounds like a similar situation, in our case these groups of parts will
average the cost at the end of the month. And invoice based on that
average. Thanks for the info I'll pass it on to Finance team.

No, we just never did that, I was curious. We just booked the variance
between PO price and AP Invoice price as purchase price variance (when
steel prices went nuts, that's what happened). Obviously a procedural
difference between your company and ours. Is that common for your
company?
