I'm assuming that your company is actually converting to 12 month accounting effective with the fiscal year of Jan - Dec.

This means that before you go live you should change the questions.

At the end of Dec. you will need to close all periods. Perform a year end close. Archive and delete all current journal history. then rerun install / tailor and answer the questions as G008 = 01 and G009 equals 01. Note you will also have to change X01 and rerun the tailoring for Forecasting if you have it.

Otherwise you are contemplating a change mid-year which you should be extremely careful with due to tax liability laws, etc.

If you will proceed at mid year (July 09) to convert you will need to do a close for all open periods as of June 09, then a year end close, then archive and delete all current journal history then rerun install / tailor and answer questions X01 = 12 month, G008 = 01 and G009 = 07.

My company is using Accounting management Plus and currently following 13
period accounting, but we are planning to switch to 12 month accounting in
our migration from Release 3 to Release 7.

I want to know the relevance of Questions G008- Company's first fiscal
month and G009- First month for GL transaction period in the CAS GL
questionnaire.

What should be entered there if I am following 13 period or If I am
switching to the 12 month.

My accounting period starts from January to December and we are planning to
Go Live with release 7 by July '09.
