From the knowledgebase:

This can be caused by any of the following:
1) The last Order Close and Purge in IM may have said NO to Update
routing averages. If that happened, no averages would have changed.
2) The manufacturing order was force closed and the operation in
question was at a status 10, 20, or 30. Only status 40 operations
update averages in the PDM file. If the order had a status of 50 or 55,
the operation would be at a status 40 and would have updated the average
in the ROUTNG file, unless 3) is true.
3) If the operation is at a status 40, but the qty reported complete is
0.0, MAPICS could not convert the actual time back to the unit TBC times
in the routing file, so did not update the averages.
4) Someone has changed the TBC factor in the standard routing in PDM
since the last order close and purge. Changing the TBC factor will zero
the routing averages and set the NOTIM (number of times the averages
have been updated) field to zero.
5) Average run times are updated only when the actual work center for
the operation in the MOROUT file is the same as the standard work center
defined in the ROUTNG file. If a work center override was entered
during shop activity update, averages in the standard routing are not
updated.

For some reason it's not updated in our ROUTNG. Is there a set up we
should've done?

There is a running average calculated and stored in the ROUTNG file for
each operation.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] PCC reporting - run labor hours per machine

Hello All,

I wonder if anybody knows if there is a report available in PCC or PMC
to calculate average hours spent for building any finished good item.

It could be using a range criteria for an item or completion date.

We are at R5.5 , but would think it should be a pretty basic function
of any manufactured shop.

I imagine it could be done separately, in Query or any reporting tool,
using MOHRTG and MOHMST with calculation of total hours spent per
operation divided by total qty completed this period, but still curious
if anybody else needed that in their workshop.

Thank you in advance,
