To piggy back on Kevin's thoughts, sometimes we have to delete the C:\Mapics\ERP_for_iSeries folder and let the application download again. Also, we've experienced some difficulties if the user signed on to windows doesn't have permission to write to this directory structure.

What has Infor told you? I would simply give them a quick call and put in
an incident.

One thing to try if you haven't already. If you are launching it from the
desktop shortcut, try instead launching it again from the Web Browser. So

http://(yoursystem):36001/PowerLink/XX

Also delete your temporary internet files. Somtimes this helps.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] MNapics R7 & Powerlink

Hi All

I have an initial Mapics R7.7 test environment set up to do testing etc
before we go live on R7.8 in 5 weeks.
I have recreated the environment 6 or 7 times over the past 5 months and
been able to get both LinkManager
and PowerLink to operate correctly.

However, on this occasion, despite doing nothing differently I cannot
get
PowerLink to sign on.

I enter my username and password and get

Logging In Then
Launchinbg CLient.

and the window justs sits.

LinkManager tasks have been started and the Mapics Java Server jobs are
sitting live in the QUSRWRK subsystem

QUSRWRK QSYS SBS .0 DEQW
MPXMGRSRV MXAPLUS BCH .0 PGM-PSZRLS0C JVAW
MPXREGSRV MXAPLUS BCH .0 PGM-PSZRRS0C JVAW
QJVAEXEC MXAPLUS BCI .0 JVM-com.pjx.bo JVAW
QJVAEXEC MXAPLUS BCI .0 JVM-com.pjx.bo JVAW
QJVAEXEC MXAPLUS BCI .0 JVM-com.pjx.bo JVAW
QJVAEXEC MXAPLUS BCI .0 JVM-com.pjx.bo JVAW

Any ideas where I should be checking and what I should be looking for
???

Any help gratefully accepted. Many thanks in advance

Best Regards

Iain Wilson
