There is not a web portal application as such in Release 7, but the tools
for developing a portal application are there. Using Integrator and
SystemLink, we have developed a portal that allows suppliers to view their
orders through a website that displays directly from the XA files. The
suppliers can not only view their orders but also acknowledge that the order
parameters can be met or make recommendations to change order quantity, due
date, etc. In addition, the portal enables the supplier to print barcode
labels required by the purchaser (XA owner) and to upload appropriate
documents such as bills of lading, custom papers, etc.

This same type of application could be used to display any of the XA data
such as payables, inventory (consignment), customer orders, etc.
